Job Profile:

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team providing the best end to end solutions for automation, control, drives, and drive systems and robotics in the Industrial and OEM markets.  As Premier Automation’s Account Manager, you are a highly motivated self-starter and effective communicator who is passionate about his/her position and committed to fostering a “team” approach and successful results. Time spent managing accounts versus prospecting should be at the 50% level in both areas in order to support business objectives.   

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and specification strategy in the assigned territory to achieve required sales goals.  Will act in support of and in consultation with Sales Management, Inside Sales, Product Engineering and Pricing to achieve sales goals and customer responsiveness.
  • Responsible for the development and continuous maintenance of the prospect list for the business area.
  • Drive Growth: Through strong emphasis on prospecting new companies; Keep the pipeline full at all times by ensuring that an active list of potential new prospects are compiled and constantly updated.
  • Responsible for addressing customer concerns in collaboration with other departments/functional areas.
  • Participate in the business planning process.
  • Provide a weekly call report and discuss current and planned activity with sales manager.
  • Demonstrate the ability of strong analytical skills and is able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to complex customer issues.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of successful experience in selling electrical products and solutions to the OEM and Industrial market.
  • Utilizes strong interpersonal skills to relate well to all kinds of people both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Demonstrates the ability to motivate one’s self to establish and achieve goals.
  • Finds new or different ways of dealing with challenging or difficult problems or situations.
  • Welcomes challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong team player that can work cooperatively with others in order to drive results and goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create clear action plans.
  • Influences others by overcoming objections and concerns in an appropriate manner, seeking a win/win solution where both parties can reasonably meet their objectives.
  • Self-motivated and understands objectives and is proactive in their approach to achieve them. Looks for opportunities to improve upon those objectives; does not wait to be told what is important or when to take action.
